An updated version of Martindale's VI-13700/2, the VI13800 is a two-pole voltage indicator with improved safety functionality.

The main difference between this and Martindale's previous indicator is that the internal fuse has been replaced by a high wattage resistor.

This protection is superior to fuse protection as it will limit the current in the event of damage to the cable.

This is in line with current GS38 regulations and future updates.

The indicator can be used across both AC/DC voltage from 50-600V AC/DC, showing voltage steps as LED indicators at 50, 100, 200 and 400V DC/AC RMS.

The VI13800 can also give indication of polarity, automatically detects AC/DC voltage and select the appropriate range automatically as well.
